Physiotherapy is one of the fields associated with the medical industry. New hospitals and clinics being set up every year in India, the demand for qualified professionals is increasing. • Course Content: Among the various subjects taught in the course, Physiology, Psychology, Sociology, Exercise Therapy, Nursing, Sports Physiotherapy, Clinical Observation, General Physiology, Allied therapies and Community Based Rehabilitation, etc. are also included.
• Eligibility and Duration: To apply for this course, the student must have passed standard X from a recognised board. It is a course for a two-year duration. The course is designed so that students will understand the current practices in the industry.
• Job Prospects: After the completion of the course, students will get opportunities to work in hospitals, private clinics, fitness centres, offices, colleges and sports clubs. After gaining relevant experience, they can set up their physiotherapy clinic as well. Some of the job profiles include customer care assistant, assistant physiotherapist, lecturer, research assistant, osteopath and self-employed private physiotherapist.
